ARCHITECTURE

Buildings have importance in the collective memory of societies for two reasons.  The first is that the built environment is, in fact, the realization of the self via the object of architecture.  The built environment resembles humanity’s way of being in the world and it is important to look at the works of architecture as not merely a concrete phenomenon, but as belonging to the ideatic and experiential as well. The second reason is that, the architectural product stands for the knowledge of architecture itself, and its sustenance in concrete form is fundamental in terms of the material wealth produced by humanity.
